The Fishers Island Conservancy is looking for a reliable pickup truck or utility vehicle to support our ongoing work to preserve, enrich, and enhance the natural resources of Fishers Island and its surrounding waters.
Years ago, we were lucky enough to receive two vehicles from generous residents that helped power our mosquito control and marine debris programs. About 10 years ago, we purchased a used truck focused on marine debris work, and for the past two summers we’ve been getting by on personal vehicles and rental trucks to support the FIRST team, our events, and the mosquito control team the Town sends over from Long Island.
A donated truck would go straight to work with Conservancy staff and volunteers on hands-on stewardship projects: habitat restoration, invasive plant management, marine debris cleanups, field monitoring, equipment transport, and more.
What we’re looking for: A dependable pickup truck, utility truck, or similar work vehicle in good operating condition. Four-wheel drive is helpful but not required. We’re also open to discussing other vehicle donations that might fit the bill.
Your donation would directly support our mission and give us a practical tool for protecting the island’s beaches, trails, habitats, and natural areas. Donations are tax-deductible.
