Blue Heron by Justine Kibbe

Can be quite becoming:
I’m sitting at my desk on this very dreary afternoon.
With camera ever by my side, I was delighted at first glance to observe a small Flicker woodpecker; perhaps share with folks.
But just now a bedraggled Blue heron has joined me!
Very unusual for this type bird to perch in the American Elm here on Silver eel Cove.
Managing to stay its course these windy days.

Wooley Bear by Justine Kibbe

No black “woolens” on this caterpillar.
It’s nearly 65 degrees today on Island-those folks over at “folklore” might be on to something; like a very mild winter?!
