Fountain of Youth*

A crisp and breezy August eve didn’t deter these “first year” female American Redstarts (defined by yellow side feathers) from splashing and preening before the day was done. These wood warblers of Fishers island are notably found in a variety of broadleaf or mixed forest habitats.
