Admittedly, overnight, I became a “Beaver Believer”. Hoping to meet Fishers Island’s largest rodent resident.

Today’s stillness is perfect for scouting and observing possible beaver habitat: swampy and shady marsh, shadowy ponds, and murky bogs.

*Under the watchful eyes of American Bullfrogs….
