Healthy Outlook for Healthy Habitat

I’ve often taken photos* of various seaweeds and seagrass surrounding our Fishers Island. The Island’s serene beauty is a main attraction here, but we should never forget there is an entire underwater world filled with marine ecosystems that must also have our support in maintaining critical habitat for fish, birds, and marine mammals.

There is a Fishers Island Seagrass Management (FISM) meeting April 10, 1-4 p.m. at the Museum.

Please stop by and learn how our community is working together to preserve surrounding eelgrass meadows for “everyone’s” future.
