This should be a good year for the Geminids. There’s not too much light from the Moon during the evening, and then the Moon sets around 10 or 11 p.m., leaving the sky dark for the peak hours until dawn.*

On days like this, East Harbor is perhaps fairest of them all.
Hungry Point’s rock “clumps” are typically the Harbor seals
favorite haul-out.

Just back from checking for any whale spout activity off Isabella; It’s calm enough.
I did see 6-8 brilliant bluebirds flit around me as I rode the path thru the Pickett Landfill-magical!
